Senior Taylor Avino placed 2nd at 220-pounds, and freshman Marcus Iwama was the 3rd place finisher at 120, as the Bulldogs finished 8th as a team at this year's District 22 Tournament.
Avino, who also qualified for Regions last year, and Iwama will both be in action on Wednesday night in the opening round of the Region 6 Tournament. It will be the first time in three seasons that the Bulldogs have multiple Region participants.

With seven lettermen returning, the Bulldogs will have a pretty even mixture of experience and newcomers in 2012. The overall numbers are a little low, and there's only three seniors on the roster, so while team will compete to win as much as possible this season, they'll also be laying the foundation for a strong future.
Wrestler To Watch - (Sr) Taylor Avino
A four-year starter, Avino has seen great improvement each season. This year, he'll be looking to top his 2011 performance that saw him record 24 wins and earn a 3rd place medal at the Districts.

With seven lettermen returning, the Bulldogs will have a pretty even mixture of experience and newcomers in 2012. The overall numbers are a little low, and there's only three seniors on the roster, so while team will compete to win as much as possible this season, they'll also be laying the foundation for a strong future.
Wrestler To Watch - (Sr) Taylor Avino
A four-year starter, Avino has seen great improvement each season. This year, he'll be looking to top his 2011 performance that saw him record 24 wins and earn a 3rd place medal at the Districts.
